This is my second attempt to post a blog regarding gloom. Lets see if I can post this much now.…
Month: December 2019
Welcome, Winter
Posting daily since the first day of autumn, 90 days have passed as we have moved through an entire season. Thank you for all you have released. Appreciating your interest, and your personal inquiry into those probing question in each blog.
On this winter solstice, we welcome light’s return in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a season of hibernation for many mammals in the wild. A time of energy going deeply into the roots of plants. And as we allow our natural state to be uncovered, we too may feel ourselves turning inward, deeply integrating the lessons harvested from the last cycle of light.
Amidst the busyness of the holiday season, where can you hibernate? How can you best deeply root? What lessons do you most want to integrate from your past growth seasons?Ki to Happiness is grateful for all that has been uncovered.
Darkest Dawn
On this last day of Autumn, the northern hemisphere awakens to its darkest dawn. Having let go of so much through the season of fall, we may find that we are in a more spacious and timely state of awareness, despite the busyness of the impending holidays.
The Gayatri mantra invokes the light within. Easier to see this inside with less distracting light outside. This guiding light may shine it’s radiance through the upcoming Winter.
Can you take time and space to see this internal light today? Where in your world could most benefit from you sharing this light? Ki to Happiness chooses to share this light during all seasons, everywhere.
Impeachment
This morning in the United States we awaken to the awareness that the president has been Impeached. This historic moment gives us pause to reflect on the roles of our leaders, and the purpose of the government.
We do so in dark coldness. Having released much through the Autumn, we dig more deeply to clean out the bottom of the drawers, and get into the nooks and crannies. Releasing all that no longer serves.
What no longer serves your highest? What is being revealed to you at this moment of deepest darkness? Ki to Happiness leads with self governance.
Rumi’s Wedding Anniversary
746 years ago yesterday, the poet Rumi passed away. It is referred to as his “wedding night”as it is held that he reunited with his beloved Shams on another plane when he departed.
Here’s a brief offering from him that holds as true today as it did all those centuries ago….
Spiritual Health
A good gauge of spiritual health is to write down the three things you most want.
If they in any way differ, you are in trouble!
What are the three things you most want? do they differ in anyway? Ki to Happiness wants you out of trouble…
Practice, practice, practice
There’s an old joke about the way one might get to Carnegie Hall. We’ve all heard the punchline. Instead of receiving physical directions or using GPS to navigate, the joke punchlines with “practice, practice, practice.”
Practicing yoga, will help us remove attachment to physical issues, lose our identification with mental and emotional issues, and open us up to our Higher Self. A more peaceful, balanced, stable, and embodied self results.
In my private practice with individuals, we focus on the different levels of issues, facilitating integration. Infusion of the Higher Self, the guidance from one’s own internal teacher, into daily choices and actions transforms. Ultimately, we identify more completely with our Higher Self.
What are you practicing? What aspect of your being could benefit from choosing more consciously your practices? Ki to Happiness commits to reliable, uplifting practices.
End of season, year, and decade
With just five days left of autumn, we are about to change much. Change of season is coming as we also approach the end of the year and the end of the decade.
Time for reflection and review, may yield just the reinforcement necessary to continue. Having let go of much, look around. Appreciate the changes that you have made in the outer realm, reflecting the changes you’ve made on the inner.
Who are you now? What will you remember 2019 for? How have these Teen years effected your life? Ki to Happiness reflects your present.
Let it go
Slowly as autumn turns towards winter, the bare trees start to allow us to see the architecture of the woods. Conifers and their Evergreen boughs are visible, as we bring some inside to grace our homes.
Moving items around to accommodate the need for holiday decorations results in a different perspective. Perhaps one more item viewed in this light is no longer valuable. Let it go. Allow there to be space and time instead of busyness and clutter.
How comfortable are you with space and time? What can you let go of so you can have more of both? Ki to Happiness is roomy…
Festivities
On this last Saturday of autumn, many will be preparing for the holiday festivities to come. Whether Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Winter Solstice is the focus of your celebrations, readying is required.
Decorations, food, drinks, correspondence, clothing, gifts and perhaps other more elaborate items must be gathered, assembled or made. All this preparation gives us something to look forward to as we continue with diminished light and heat.
What traditions do you want to include in your celebration this year? How can your increasing consciousness influence your choices?Ki to Happiness enjoys the best of the Holy Days…everyday!
Friday the 13th
With the full moon’s light still upon us, we enter into a day fraught with superstition. Friday the 13th has been historically thought of as boding dark omens. Numerologists claim the number of 13 is completely powerful. Misunderstood, or misused, that power is misappropriated.
Rightfully, the Baker’s dozen may instead be uplifted. A dozen apostles plus the head of the Spiritual movement we call Christianity also was an assemblage of 13. it is a number of fulfillment. And Friday concludes the workweek, with its fullness.
What superstitions can you bring into the light of day? What is completing in your life in a powerful way? Ki to Happiness fears not.
