First Light

Dawn is breaking at 6 AM now. My practices get me up early enough to watch the spectacle. Staying in tune with natural rhythms, I connect more to my nature.

This is one of the magic hours of the day. Sunset at 6 PM brings about the second magic hour of the day. Balancing light and dark, all in between are balanced and bracketed by the magic of the near equinox.

How do you stay in tune with nature? What Will help you reconnect? Ki to Happiness honors natural rhythms.

Sweet sleep

Now that Saturn has transited into the sign of Pisces, there is a greater need for sleep, Pisces is the mutable water sign, and its dreamy qualities come forward with adequate rest. In resting, we heal, and integrate the many lessons from the last three years when Saturn was in Aquarius.

Unfortunately, my cats did not get that astrological update. They’ve been wanting me to get up at 2 AM, so had to I rigged up my door to keep them out until 4. Resting soundly until then, I started my morning practices with renewed appreciation for sweet sleep..

Can you allow yourself the luxury of resting as much as you need? Does it bring up fears of being lazy or depressed? Ki to Happiness let go of her alarm decades ago.

Coincidence or synchronicity

Working privately with one of my clients, she expressed an interest in a particular property. Later last night, the owner of that property contacted me. This morning I sent the link she shared with me regarding the property to my client.

I am not in real estate, nor do I have regular contact with either of these parties. On one level it may seem like a coincidence. On another level, it seems like synchronicity,

When circumstances align, do you attribute it to coincidence? Or are you able to see the synchronicity?Ki to Happiness witnesses simultaneous occupancies as evidence of Divine Intervention.

Saturn in Pisces

Yesterday, we experienced the planetary transit which will affect our next couple of years. Saturn had been in Aquarius all through the COVID years. It has transited into Pisces for the foreseeable future.

For some the change will occur on a subconscious level. Others of us are sensitive to these changes. I find it empowering to work with the energies instead of resisting them.

Did you feel this shift toward greater awareness of your feelings? What karmas restrict your deepest emotions? Ki to Happiness releases the past karma of avoiding emotions so they can be gently expressed and utilized to evolve.

Deep compassion

Sometimes, when I work privately with a client, I run into issues I have not personally experienced. In order to deepen my compassion I may read someone else’s account of going through such issues. In this way, I prolong my meditation on walking a mile in their moccasins.

Research indicates that the happiest among us are those who can learn from other people‘s paths. While my own issues started me on the journey of healing, I’m fortunate to not have had to go through every issue personally. Having compassion for myself opens me up to deep compassion for others.

How do you deepen your compassion for others? What helps you expand your capacity to understand those who are different from yourself? Ki to Happiness learns from those who’ve gone before us.

Full moon in Virgo

The energies of the last month culminate in today’s full moon. If, like me, these energies resulted in a wakeful night, I hope you spend it in delight. I got me up with my cats so we could pet and purr.

I looked around at my life and thought of Rumi. He wrote as he looked at his life once “what a bargain, I think I’ll buy it.”. When the night awakens me to the awarenesses like the sacred mystics and poets, neither my cats or I mind.

What does this full moon awaken you to? How does your life look to you? Ki to Happiness is up with the eyes of the Sufi poets.

Step dance

Today is my stepbrother‘s 75th birthday. Now that his dad and my stepdad is gone, I wanted him to know I’m thinking of him. I stepped in to send a greeting to which he responded immediately.

I learned from Dad a long time ago to step aside, and to step up only when appropriate. As stepmom to my husband’s son, I applied those lessons to our step dance. I will get a chance to do more of that this afternoon when he comes to visit.

Do you have step people in your life? Have you learned the step dance? Ki to Happiness lets go of expectations and dances.

Marching forth

I love the sound of today’s date. March forth… and conquer! I am doing my best to embody that impulse as I follow Higher Guidance.

Today I am marching forth as I teach both classes, privately work with a new client, continue with my manuscript’s 5th revision and love my choices. With my head held high, my spine, long, and tall, and my heart set on the Everlasting, I intend to freely embody my Highest Self. I encourage each of you, dear readers, to do the same in your own way.

What is the best use of your life force today? Can you March forth and conquer your fears to embody your Highest Guidance? Ki to Happiness marches forth with you on your chosen path if silently, at a distance.

The way he was

When someone we love passes away, like my dad did a month ago, there are those who say they prefer to remember him as he was. In his 97 1/3 years, I am blessed to have known him for over 50 of those years. I feel honored to have known that he WAS lots of different things and ways.

The arc of his lifetime included his privileged beginnings, yet his sweet presence in his last few months of decrepitude were my privilege to behold. Involving myself in his many ways of being enriches my life as I am heir to his stories.

How do you want to be remembered? What does the arc of your life reveal about you? Ki to Happiness has inherited much from witnessing multitudes of ways of being.

50 years

Today is my mom and dad‘s 50 year anniversary. Dad is resting in peace now. Mom continues to live and love.

I asked her once how she has managed to remain married through all the ups and downs. She said one word…stay. That simple wisdom made all the difference I needed to preserve through one of my marriage’s downs.

What one word has made all the difference in your life? How can you stay committed to that which you have vowed? Ki to Happiness stays true to her word.
