Any Way

I am aware and informed of many problems and catastrophes occurring presently. I read the newspaper, and watch legacy and alternative channels to stay abreast of what we are all dealing with. This could lead to frustration, futility, and the feeling of failure for all of my efforts in my life toward healing, peace, and union.

Instead, I find deep joy unperturbed within as I sit in my practices, with my cats around me, and watch the dawn breaking. Any way that brings us in alignment with the deep abiding joy is a radical revolution away from fear. Choosing happiness anyway and in any way emboldens our free spirit to stay connected to the One in All.

What brings you joy? How can you stay aligned with it? Ki to Happiness chooses any and all ways that align my free spirit with the One, anyway and always.

Rituals and spontaneity

Daily, as I practice with ritual prayer and meditation I align with my Higher Self. From time to time, there is a spontaneous need. Having set the pattern of ritual, my energy tracks on to prayer and meditation for support.

It makes me think of the old hippie term, groovy. Rituals dig a groove and with each repetition, the groove gets deeper. Then, when some need arises, energy follows after that deeply ingrained groove.

What rituals do you participate in? How do they serve you when you have a spontaneous need? Ki to Happiness chooses and refines groovy rituals daily.

Linking Arms

We are stronger together. Holding hands or linking arms individuals create a physical bond. Energetically, we can do the same on the non-physical planes.,

Working with my helper yesterday, we linked arms with another who referred us to each other. The three of us will continue to strengthen and protect each other. Our intention is to shield one another and thise we serve from the forces that would weaken and separate us.

Helper’s helper

I love to help other people. As an Aquarian, my nature is to serve humanity, as each other is like my brother or sister. I’ve learned how to help from others who have helped me.

Today I will work with a new helper. She and I will put our energies, guardians, guides and healers together to confer for my benefit. I joyously open to receive the gift of help to top off my full cup of resources to overflowing, spilling the abundance everywhere I serve.

Are you a helper? Who helps you? Ki to Happiness heals and helps as others have helped me heal.

Brother’s 64

During my weekly chat with my brother, we celebrated his birthday early. He’s an IT guy, who gets to spend the day however he wants. He is likely to hang out at home with his cats, and enjoy a little light yoga.

We grew up being considered Irish twins. That means it won’t be long, and it’ll be my turn. When we were kids growing up, like others of our generation, we sang with Beatles song “When I’m 64”not knowing it would be like this.

What songs of your childhood shaped your approach to aging? How would you change the lyrics if you could? Ki to Happiness celebrates her brother with cats, yoga and song.

Love’s Labor

Happy Labor Day to you all from Hatha Yoga Center. I offer my morning class at 10 AM as a labor of love. I do so in the joyous aftermath of yesterday‘s open house.

Students and community members since the 70s gathered and celebrated. Together with brand new first timers, all enjoyed the refreshments and foods. The best part was the mixing of the company…from China and Russia, from Vietnam and England, from Columbia City and around the corner…we all loved the yoga practice, the studio and the social moment.

How will you observe Labor Day? What do you love well enough to continue with on this day of rest? Ki to Happiness offers love’s labor today and every day.

Open House

After Bob‘s morning classes, we will hold our annual open house. In preparation, I whomped up some vegan gluten free pizzas and tiny savory pies. All is clean and fresh, ready for all to enjoy.

Sabotage and perseverance

Sometimes the tech gremlins seem to sabotage my efforts. It requires perseverance to hang in there, and stay committed to the purpose of the efforts. Joining forces with others, to benefit us all remains my mission.

Hindrance, blockages, and delays could throw me off. I could let it stop me, but I won’t. While I still live and breathe, I recommit to my primary objective of serving the One in All.

How do you deal with sabotage? Are you able to persevere with your true intention? Ki to Happiness lives and breathes life into service.

Signal and Noise

Meditation practices generally fall into two broad categories. They seek to increase the signal from the Higher Self or decrease the noise that obstructs that signal. Some practices insist on stillness and silence whereas others sing, dance, visualize, and breathe in intricate patterns.

I find it helps to have an array of practices to choose from so I can adapt and adjust as conditions require. In the middle of this large metropolitan area, sometimes I cannot control the noise that obstructs the signal so I turn up my signal through playing music, moving with it, visualizing as I breathe in specific patterns. Other times, I am bask in the still silence of nature.

Which method of meditation do you prefer? How gracefully can you override your preference to adapt to your circumstances? Ki to Happiness changes practices when circumstances require.
