As the “safe start”continues in the state of Washington, so do the demonstrations. The combination is confusing, conflicted, and potentially catastrophic. From a distance, in another state, polarities persist. From my vantage point, rooted in my practices, I witness the necessary upheaval for a greater union to occur in the States, and the state of humankind. I do so wearing pajamas, which I once wore in the woods. I got lost off the trail, and bushwhacked my way back home, full of burrs. My mother removed each one with the most prolonged tenderness. It seems that is exactly what is required for our personal, political, and planetary issues.
