Saints Anne and Joachim

Today, as we continue safely starting to reopen, we remember the parents of Mary, the mother of Jesus. These grandparental figures demonstrate the attributes required to bring about the full manifestation of spirit.

I think of it as Grandparents Day. No hallmark cards required. My maternal grandparents played a huge role in my upbringing. (Where as my paternal grandparents did not.) I appreciate every effort that our predecessors have made to bring us into the present possibility.

What is your relationship with your grandparents? How might you be able to honor them and what has gone on before, today? Ki to Happiness thanks all of our Grands for their foresight, perseverance and patience.

Saint Christopher’s Day

Continuing with our safe start, we come to this day of celebrating Saint Christopher. His story of carrying a small boy to safety encourages us all. The child revealed himself to be Christ consciousness.

Travelers often wear his medal for protection. Petitioning him, the way becomes open and clear. Traffic abates. Connections are made, in time. The pure Light within us is safe to move about in the way that it is directed.

Where are you going? What assistance do you need? Ki to Happiness travels with St. Christopher.

Couple of calls

Safely starting to reopen businesses continues on one level. On another level, the scammers never bothered to close their businesses. Ongoing problems with our website, challenges posting my blog, PayPal alerts, all have created lots of stress in the past.

In the present, I am recognizing that all these issues have required is a couple of phone calls. Long, with plenty of waiting time, and when speaking to the right person, the problems are solved. So in the future, instead of stressing in reaction, I will simply learn to look for the right person to call.

Have you been hacked or scammed lately? Do you know who the right person to call is?Ki to Happiness doesn’t, so has learned to ask.

“Just walk away“

As we continue safely starting to reopen our businesses, in my area tempers are flaring. The homeless who have lost their emergency shelter are back on the streets. The combined issues of poverty, drugs and illnesses result in extreme limitations.

After finishing my class last night, again there were bloodcurdling yells, with threats of murder. I crouched down under my windowsill on the second floor with my cats. From our relatively safe vantage point, we could see those involved. Separately, another person on the street intervened, yelling even louder “Just walk away”. Repeatedly. And they did. Disperse. Safely.

How are the tempers in your area? Are you willing to “just walk away” from conflict, in order to avoid escalating it? Ki to Happiness is.

The Other Mary

Today is the memorial observation of Saint Mary Magdalene. History has not done her a favor. She is remembered in ways that may not reflect the truth of her life. Like many powerful women in her time, there was every effort made to diminish her.

She is the patron saint of the penitent. Any of us who have been so humbled in our life as to recognize that we are in need of assistance fall under her potential graces. Certainly, I have turned to her repeatedly. In doing so, the atonement she experienced is extended to each one of us.

What assistance are you in need of? Are you willing to humble yourself enough to ask? Ki to Happiness recognizes the need for assistance daily…. and sometimes nightly, too.

Happy birthday #1 reader

As we continue safely starting to re-open businesses, I am celebrating the birthday of my #1 reader. When I started this blog, I hoped to do 20 days in a row. It is now been closer to 340. And every day, the first reader (after mom, my #1 fan) continues with me. To read. Periodically to comment.

I celebrate your dedication and commitment to reading. For what is writer without a reader? In doing so, I also celebrate the birthday of all of you who are reading this. I’m so glad to be sharing time and space on the planet with all of you, in the name of our mutually supportive growth and evolution.

When’s your birthday? How do you like to celebrate? Ki to Happiness celebrates with each birthday that we are fortunate to be blessed with life, here and now.

New moon in Cancer

As we continue safely starting in our area, the new moon is upon us. It is a great time to make use of these energies by setting clear intentions for the next month. Doing so, very helpful for us all to make the best use of this time that continues to be upon us. Sequestration has its benefits!

Cancer is the sign of the homebody. When we stay at home, and we are safe, our feelings can inform us about the right next move. Intuition directs us. It’s a good day for listening!

What does your intuition say? How are you feeling at home? Ki to Happiness is intuiting more positive environmental changes as we continue safely restarting…

Percolations

As we continue with our safe starting, I am deeply integrating life’s lessons. Internally, I am reckoning aspects of my past which have gotten stimulated by an old friend reaching out, with my present. A gift from this time of sequestration. Doing so, I am also available here. Teaching yoga and serving as a private facilitator for others is enhanced by this process.

Just after posting my blog yesterday, I heard yelling out my window and looked to see the disturbance. A homeless guy from another state who I am familiar with was threatening to kill the cashier where I buy my newspaper. I went right over and entered the 7-11. Cops arrived from every direction. I gave an eye (and ear) witness report, and my contact information to the cop, attesting to the cashier’s character as well. After, I happily taught both of my yoga classes.

What are you percolating on? How has your past equipped you for the demands of the present? Ki to Happiness integrates life’s lessons for manifestation, here and now.

Flash from the past

As we continue safely starting to re-open businesses, our governor has made new guidelines. Conservatively limiting gatherings to 10 or less people in the phase 3 counties effects us still in phase 2 not at all. It was great to go into Goodwill for the first time.

I continue putting myself out here daily. Yesterday, an old friend and colleague let me know he’s been watching. This set off stream of consciousness sharing. It is a gift to revisit our intimacy, our history, and to update each other‘s files on who we have become now.

Are you putting yourself out here daily, too? Any flashes from the past emerging? Ki to Happiness re-members.

Going slowly

In the state of Washington, our safe start program has us reopening very slowly. What’s good about that is that we don’t have to go backward here. King county proceeds with phase 2. Meanwhile, several of the other counties which had already moved ahead to phase 3 are needing to scale back. Instead of gatherings of 50, they are now restricted to gatherings of 10 people.

Going slowly, steadily, incrementally or at a glacial pace, yoga practice affords great rehearsal. Traditionally, slowly exploring postures with breath and conscious intention, preparing the body for meditation, continues to fortify patience and acceptance of what is.

How are you with going slowly? Which practices would most fortify you? Ki to Happiness accepts life on Life’s terms.
