His Story

History is being made. Our national state is one of looking for reconciliation for perceived wrongdoing. While there are many opinions, in this country, all are able to be expressed.

Inside the word “history”, there are two little words, “His” and “story”. Missing out on the female voice, as well as facts. As such, history may only report partial truth. As all the voices involved are able to express their stories, and facts can be checked, a more complete Truth may be revealed.

What stories do you tell yourself? Have you included all the relevant voices? How can you fact check? Ki to Happiness respects the Highest Truth.

Half moon

We are halfway between our new moon (and the intentions we set last week) and full moon, which occurs 12/12. Half moon gives us an invitation to check our course for any necessary corrections.

In the light of the full moon, we will see the results of our intentions. If you have gotten derailed, distracted, or otherwise diverted, this is understandable. As such, it does well for us simply to get back on track.

How close are you to the intention you sent last week? What shift is required for you to get back on track? Ki to Happiness honors all the phases of the moon.

Giving Tuesday

Cyber Monday resolves it self into this giving Tuesday. While we warm our hearts and our heads with a mug and a hat perhaps, we become aware of others who have neither. In our affluent society, we may start to notice others who are missing out on the affluence.

Balancing this imbalance, we may reach into our cupboards, our pockets, and our hearts to offer something of our abundance to others. A smile, a forgiving heart, and maybe an extra pair of mittens may make a difference in someone’s day today.

What do you have an abundance of? How do you feel when you give something to others? Ki to Happiness shares freely!

End of November

On the last day of November, we do well to reflect on how this month has gone. Next month, as we shift into winter, we will appreciate all the efforts and preparations we have made.

The squirrels have all gathered their nuts. The birds have all feathered their nests, or flown south. What do you need to gather? How is your nest? Planning on flying to a warmer climate?

Giving Thanks

One of my daily practices includes writing a full page of gratitude for my many blessings. I’ve been at this for decades. It has turned every day into Thanksgiving. Now neuroscience understands it helps to rewire the brain to focus on gratitude.

Once the new pattern established in the brain, we look through more grateful eyes, and listen with more grateful ears. We start to sniff out our day in search of other things are we are also wanting to give thanks for.

Among my many blessings, I am thankful for you, sweet readers. I thank you for your comments. Thank you for your interest. Thank you for doing all the work that you need to do to open yourself up evermore completely to your loving, grateful, peaceful light. Ki to Happiness wishes you a happy Thanksgiving today, and every day…

Hail, Sleet and Rain

Autumn nods its head down toward the encroaching winter. Heavy dark clouds give forth it’s contents. Hail pelts from the sky. Sleet heavies the downpour. Rain washes it all away.

Then, a sudden sun break…Dazzling light reflected off of wet surfaces replaces the dark cold. Revealed in light, the hail melts. The sleet flows into the wet. All is clean and bright.

With the weather, our emotional nature similarly fluctuates. Emotions well up, and when released, rain down upon us with sadness, and sorrow. Hailing down in chunks of frozen feelings, sleeting upon us once expression is allowed. And ultimately the sun come shining through yet again.

Can you honor each state of safe emotional expression, like the weather? As is the Nordic expression, “there’s no bad weather. Just bad clothing.” Ki to Happiness suggests bundling up…in layers, on all levels.
