Home again

Warm welcome reunites me with Seattle. My good friend picked me up at the airport. All three cats came out to greet me. My husband and business partner updated me about the changes and progress here.

I left behind my dad, sleeping in his nest. My mom dropped me off and went on her way to her ritual self-care. My brother withstood the second surgery on his eye. Each of us rests now into healing deep places within ourselves having been supported by our time together.

How warm is your welcome when you return home? What deep healing continues underneath surface activities? Ki to Happiness warmly welcomes all to reunite with deepest healing.

Healing

I’m preparing to return to Seattle. There has been much healing during my time attending to my family. I’ve done what I came here to do. Now it’s time to let that rest.

Healing takes time. And right conditions. From the middle of the country I see evidence that there’s bigger healing going on in our nation. I love it when the inner and the outer mirror one another. I see that happening now.

How is your healing? Can you see it reflected in the outer realm? Ki to Happiness supports right conditions.

Common Ground

On my way out of town I had a brief visit with an old friend. We met in a parking lot in front of the local food co-op. Over 30 years ago I was its store manager. One job in that capacity was the making of tofu- for the whole community!

Now it is a fully functioning modern grocery store. I entered in out of curiosity after our farewell hug and discovered a Disney land of choices. Dazzled, I became aware of my own growth paralleled in the growth of this community establishment.

What is growing along with you? Do you have some thing by which you can measure yourself? Ki to Happiness measures growth in increments of peace.

Relax

As this successful trip comes to an end, it is time for me to relax. it takes a lot of energy to travel, to meet the need that required the trip, and now to release the effort. T

That energy will be used for something else very soon. Like getting back home. And getting ready to reopen! So this little moment of downtime is more important than it may look on the surface.

How readily can you shift from active focus to passive restoration? And back to active focus? Ki to Happiness practices these transitions with yoga.

Fire flies

Sitting out in the hissing of evening, the heat of the day exhaled. in the thick woods and dense grasses shimmering began. As my eyes focused, I saw the Midwestern insect delight. Fire flies turning on their love light dazzled these eyes, weary from travel.

It’s as if they come from dust. From nothing. Out from under leaves, hidden under bush, they suddenly burst forth. Signaling with their own Morse code language of light to one another. What are they saying? “I’m here!”

How was your longest night? What simple pleasures of summer enjoy? Ki to Happiness lights up!

Happy Father’s Day!

Greetings to all who have fathered! Kids, other peoples kids, great ideas, incredible efforts, all have come from an initial burst of creative potential. It’s a sign of hope. And we appreciate each hopeful burst!

As a woman, I have assisted my husband in being a good father. My title is stepmom. It could also be co-father. My own step dad taught me much about that. He certainly could have held the title of co-mother. Each act of parenting is a sign of hope, much appreciated.

Who fathered you? What have you fathered?Ki to Happiness celebrates all who have fathered.

Not my problem

The hotel is having problems with its Internet server. It has interfered with my usual method of staying in communication here. I’m happy to learn that it’s not my problem.

I’m taking a walk away from that problem, so I can reach out to you. I want you to know that as I continue traveling, my heart and my head and my body are all in! All working together beautifully, thanks to all the yoga practices.

How able are you to identify which problems are yours and which are not? What helps you walk away from problems that are not yours? Ki to Happiness loves with detachment thanks to the support yoga offers so its easy to identify and adjust accordingly.

Moonrise

I’m in St. Louis. I was born here 60 years ago. I had to leave here too soon at age 12. Every time I return, I love seeing the Gateway Arch welcoming me back. It’s like a giant croquet wicket, inviting me here.

I’m staying at a boutique hotel called the Moonrise. I drove past the planetarium to get here, reminding me of field trips and the Moonlanding of my youth. These familiar feelings anchor me to my purpose in being here. Im acting as family emissary to care for my brother while he recuperates from eye surgery.

What feelings does your birthplace evoke? What anchors you to your purpose? Ki to Happiness reconnects to my original purpose in my hometown.

Sweet tears

Last night my family and I watched some thing on TV. It’s not my usual habit. I was moved to Sweet tears in viewing the joy that is bubbling at this time of re-opening. Hearing the audience participate in the music, the monologue and the interviews moved me toward joy.

Inside my body, I am celebrating with deeper healing and brave changes that will forever mark what I’ve been through, as well as you during the pandemic. I want you to do so with me.

What brave changes have you made? How can you integrate the deeper healing that’s happening for you during the pandemic? Ki to Happiness will be crying sweet tears of joy for us all as we proceed to reopening!

AirPray

As I was traveling yesterday, I had a desire for a different seat. I checked it out and didn’t want to spend the extra money. I said nothing. I was standing at the counter getting assistance with my in-flight technology, when another agent person behind the counter offered exactly what I wanted for no additional cost without my requesting.

I sat quietly enjoying my entertainment. As the flight came to conclusion, my seatmate greeted me. She said she also was seated there by the agent. Seeing some of my spiritual paraphernalia we readily shifted into prayer together.

Are you a friendly traveler? How do you interact with the staff as you take to the friendly skies? Ki to Happiness offers a prayer of thanks for All Divine Agents!
