Full Circle

Sine I returned from my last trip to visit my family, I’ve been dealing with issues requiring many changes in my habits. In these 6 months the results of my efforts reveal my next steps. I’ve come full circle.

Changing my diet, sleep patterns, supplements, treatments and constitution, I am healthier and happier. Hatha Yoga practices provided the structure from which I could witness the feedback of the changes. Like the prayer from the Upanishads, “ All of this is full. All of that is full. From fullness, fullness comes. When you remove fullness, fullness remains, “ I’m grateful for this awareness of Fullness.

When changing your habits, what structures remain? Where do you turn for feedback? Ki to Happiness turns to the discipline of Hatha Yoga for both structure and feedback.

Juncos in Maple

As I prepare for my upcoming trip, my schedule has been very full. Clients and classes, errands and packing all require focus in preparation for departure. In the midst of the flurry of activities, I laid down with one of our cats and looked out the glass door.

Together, we marveled at the juncos in the budding Maple tree in front of our space. Silent and still, our eyes flitted in unison with their movements from branch to branch. This most natural meditation energized me for my evening activities.

What meditations energize you? Can you take a brief break and breathe in the beauty of nature? Ki to Happiness recharges with nature.

Cleaning Photos

In advance of my upcoming trip to visit my family of origin, I cleaned up my stored photos, so I’ve got room for more as I travel. In doing so, I deleted a lot, and sent many to those who might enjoy them. The process gave me a different kind of life review.

The last time I did this process was shortly after my dad passed away. All the family photos are without him now, as my mom and brother and I adjust to his absence. We are all healing and grieving in our own ways, as the continuity of our lives uphold us.

What is continuous in your life as things change? What is revealed when you review your life in pictures? Ki to Happiness appreciates the continuity of Hatha Yoga Center and our cats.

Magical reunion

I worked with a client privately in the morning before class. She stayed and welcomed the next student in who used to be her roommate. The magical reunion spread a loving vibe to all the others in attendance.

My client is pregnant and her former roommate brought her eldest child, age 4. Other students ranged in age from 24 to 84. Overall the class brought through the reality that yoga is for everyone.

What occasions bring you together with all ages? To whom do you give credit when magical reunions occur? Ki to Happiness sees Divine Intervention at work.

Mercury direct

After the last three weeks of communication, electronic, and transportation issues, we’ve all had a chance to redo, reflect and reorganize for beneficial forward movement. Today, Mercury’s apparent movement is direct, clearing the way for progress. What we’ve learned and improved from our issues goes with us.

There are other astrological influences also affecting this shift. In particular Venus conjuncts Saturn today, ending karmic cycles and rewarding consistent deep abiding efforts grounded in loving truth. Releasing heavy fantasies and moving toward safety and harmony utilizes the energies well.

What consistent efforts would you love to have rewarded today? What heavy karmic load are you ready to release? Ki to Happiness releases fear and embraces safety consistently with Hatha Yoga.

Planting seeds

After a thorough spring cleaning, I put some unwanted pillows on the curb for free. Neighbors driving by on their way to get their groceries took them all away before the rain returned. Having done so, I turned my attention to our urban garden, weeded and planted seeds.

Like every breath we take, as we let go of things that are unwanted, unneeded, or spent there’s room for new inspiration and freshness. As this mercury retrograde comes to conclusion tomorrow, we are ready to move forward without restriction. Rain gently blessed our efforts this morning, watering the seeds of our intention.

What are you ready to let go of? What seeds would you like to plant in place of what you release? Ki to Happiness lets go of all the weeds and replaces them with marigolds and 4 o’clocks.

Perfect Timing

My schedule wobbled around with emergency client needs, important phone calls and building inspection trading places. Without controlling any of it, all occurred in perfect timing. This deepens my faith and rewards my surrendering to the Higher Power.

At the end of the day, I celebrated with our burrito date and a phone call with a good friend. Sleep came gently to restore my energy field. I awaken with renewed commitment to all that has gotten me Here Now.

What deepens your faith? Can you surrender to Divine timing? Ki to Happiness sees Divine Intervention at work with perfect timing.

4/4

Today’s date indicates a day of manifestation, concluding the recent solar eclipse energy. It’s important to see past the stressors that have challenged us and recognize the growth that has occurred in facing those issues so that we may clearly manifest what we intend. The spiritual practice of gratitude helps this process.

Instead of focusing on the stressors or retelling the stories about them, focusing on progress without pushing one’s agenda is advised. Staying grounded and grateful attracts more to be thankful for as we count our many blessings. For instance, I’m grateful that I know this, for yoga stabilizing this awareness and for this opportunity to “walk my talk”.

What progress have you made lately with your issues? What is the best outcome you intend to manifest from that progress? Ki to Happiness is grateful for the baby steps toward healing, harmony and the Higher Power.

Step in it

I made a poor choice yesterday. I received a phone call that an important meeting needs to be delayed without a specific time to reschedule. Then I tracked my reactive frustration and disappointment into challenging computer efforts with the result of further frustration and delay.

The rest of my responsibilities of the day insisted that I contain those issues to stop tracking that negativity farther. Today I remember “we all step in it”, the stinky doo doo of life’s challenges. With that awareness, my more graceful choice would be to clean up my messy reaction before taking another step.

What have you “stepped in” lately? How gracefully can you clean it up to avoid making more of a mess? Ki to Happiness cleans up her messes.

Inspiration

One of our students yesterday reported great healing from our work. It inspires me to keep going. These practices and efforts do not result in instant gratification but slow steady progress.

Listening to guidance does not result in a direct path to perfect happiness, health or holiness. The path is long and winding, zigzagging, and a marathon throughout the lifespan. Each bit of progress is a victory, resulting in further inspiration to keep going, keep growing, keep listening, keep swimming.

What inspires you? How capable are you of delayed gratification? Ki to Happiness is inspired by your progress.
