Nurse Practitioner

My mom‘s cardiologist is retiring. He has companion my mother through several decades of heart issues. Next she will work with a nurse practitioner, as is becoming more common in the USA medical system.

Mom has taken it well, has expected it for quite some time, and looks forward to meeting a new helper. I appreciate her openness and adaptability. As a doctor of Healtheology, I support other’s choices about healing and health whether they align with mine.

Off and On

As Bob teaches his classes on Sunday, I have a day off. I attend his classes, but I do not take care of his students or any of their peripheral needs. I simply direct the students back to him to handle their accounts, or any of their particulars.

That allows me on Monday to be back on duty refreshed and resourced. The blessings of a day spent practicing, walking, bike riding, hanging with my cats and talking with my brother are available for rippling outward to my students, clients and community. Staying balanced between being off and on contributes to my ability to serve in this capacity for as long as possible.

18 Students

I greeted a couple of new students in my beginners class yesterday. We got started on time as a few late arrivals straggled in. We accommodated them by rearranging our mats to make room.

One of our studios holds 15 students easily. Had I known that our total attendance would increase to 18, the other studio could have been better. We stayed put as we were 20 minutes into the hybrid class.

 How much can you accommodate others? What can you do about limits to time and space? Ki to Happiness dances on the limitations, like Siva shows us.

Mind Reading

Sensing another person‘s unrest, one might inquire as to what’s the trouble. When the response is “nothing”, or “it’s not about you”, it’s best to avoid mind reading. It’s better to read one’s own mind.

When I stay in my own lane, I stay in my own mind which is a comfortable place where I am familiar with my own issues. In doing so, I choose peace. From here, I can extend the peace I experience to all circumstances in confidence that they will resolve themselves at some point.

Summer Cold Front

As the weather shifts from heat wave into cold front, rain has graced us with its blessing. Washing off the dust and refreshing the parched earth, our garden waves it’s gratitude to the gentle winds that brought the moisture. Less sunlight hours and the lower angle of the rays signal the leaves to start changing into their true colors.

Those of us with time to spend in nature benefit from grounding in these natural forces. Harvesting the fruits of our efforts, we learn lessons that may yield more bounty in seasons to come. Taking time to reflect encourages our shift with these natural cycles.

Duped, Unduped

I fell for a Facebook poster. “His” poetry duped me into friending “him”. In a few minutes, I recognized my error and unfriended “him”.

I unduped myself in record time.  I will continue to be trusting, friendly and open. I’ll be doing so with greater discernment, even as I forgive myself for falling prey to another imposter.

Celestial Support

Mercury has gone direct. With it, communication, transportation, and electricity is sorting itself out for greater ease. In addition, we have Venus, the planet of loving beauty aligned with Jupiter and its enormous benefits of expansion and abundance.

With this celestial support, the assertive energy of the Lionsgate and the awareness is that came forward with the Aquarius full moon, can now move forward. It may have been a sticky conflict ridden transition, but we are here now. Harmonious energy abounds as we release the most recent lessons and transmute them into blessings, attracting more beauty, love and assertive energy to extend to the world.

Dental Care

Bob’s emergency tooth extraction resulted in great relief. He proceeded to teach his evening class even with his swollen face. He expressed his gratitude to me, the medical and dental system

Despite the many cracks in these systems, they’ve worked for him again and again. Overall, we are both more committed to the necessity of dental care. Taking responsibility for health begins with the mouth.

Signs of Improvement

After offering help, yesterday was a day of seeing signs of improvement. Hunger returning, normal activities and improved attitudes abound. Celebrating and giving thanks filled my Sunday.

In such a state, I am aware of how simple life can truly be. Eating, sleeping, movement, rest, sunshine, fresh air, pure water, and meditation on a daily basis improve our lives. This reminder gives me a reason to recommit to these simple practices again

Allowing Help

I’ve returned to witness a couple of physical issues that continue to need help. In offering my assistance to my husband, I respect other’s boundaries when he resists. Without judgment, I asked if I could make a few suggestions.

With permission, my suggestions were accepted. Acting on those suggestions, I see a little progress. Whatever the outcome, i’m glad I did my part.
