Exhalted State

Living my life yesterday, I became aware of sublime gratitude for my simple details. The cats whiskers, the juncos clicking the bird greetings, the tender flower petal wilting in their vases all brought me to the edge of tears. The feeling lingered, and engulfed my service with clients, and students, as well as neighbors and friends.

Nothing special happened. Pure joy, bliss, ecstasy arose of its own accord. Fortunately, I paused to witness and allow it to continue without interference.

Are you more familiar with exhaustion than exaltation? What rest do you need so that you can support the uprising of joy from within? Ki to Happiness, familiar with exhaustion, studies the unfamiliar exaltation that comes from enough rest and time to pause.
