Movement

Hatha Yoga Center continues with it offerings from the College Center Building. Our downstairs neighbors have moved out. Upstairs across the foyer, the anchor neighbor is leaving after 33 years here. Another long-term neighbor left in December.

New neighbors have moved in! There is still vacancy in the building. From the outside of the building, there are visible signs right under us and right next to us advertising availability for lease. Our son has also just moved into his new arrangement. Great movement is occurring.

Are you seeing movement in your area, too? How is it affecting you? Ki to Happiness moves with yoga.

Discipline and nurturance

Everybody needs discipline and nurturance as we grow. Our parents have done the best they could. It was good enough to get us all where we are. In our adulthood, we get to continue with both, in the ways we were raised, and in new creative ways.

When we project our unmet needs on our partners, we end up disappointed, or worse. Instead, when we take responsibility for reparenting our little selves, turning to Divine Mother Father God for guidance, we heal. Sometimes that guidance comes from another as a representative of the Great One.

Are you needing more discipline? Or nurturance? Ki to Happiness shares plenty of both.

Whomping

I was inspired yesterday to make use of some unusual ingredients in the kitchen. Without recipes, listening to Guidance, I whomped up several delicious dishes.

Strawberry kumquat smoothies, baked tempeh with Dash, lentil mushroom soup, vegan grilled cheez sandwiches and fresh soy yogurt all are ready! Creativity and nutrition combined.

Are you able to whomp up something good with the odds and ends in your kitchen? Do you need a recipe? Ki to Happiness follows the recipe Guidance offers.

St. Agatha’s Day

This is a day venerating St. Agatha. She is the patron saint of breast health. She is available for assistance with anything related to the health of the breast tissue and it’s function.

Issues with breast pain, challenges with breast-feeding, and breast cancer are her specialty. Petition her for healing all maternal, nutritional comfort needs. She was helpful all, regardless of gender identification.

Could you or anyone you know benefit from this information? How can you best share this? Ki to Happiness shares here and now.

Healing levels

My most recent mishap is resolved! Physical function is completely restored. I’m grateful.

At this time of year, I have always thought about one significant person in my life who’s birthday is today. Last year I researched his whereabouts so I could greet him. In doing so, much has been revealed. This year, my thoughts about him are free from the past. I’m grateful.

I got a surprise birthday greeting from my cousin. This represents emotion healing from estrangement over long held grievances. I’m grateful!

What level of healing do you need? How can you further your process today? Ki to Happiness heals on one level, which helps another (and another and….)

Mishap

I went out for a walk in the sun when a squall blew through. I sought shelter and soon was picked up for a ride home, instead of the planned walk in the woods with my friend and her huge dog. Once back indoors, I kicked off my tight boots so I could secure the space from my cats and the dog could enter. I heard a popping sound in my right hip and felt immediate pain when bending.

I proceeded along after the tiny mishap. The animals were all safe and very satisfied with all the new smells of each other. I continued with my efforts, serving privately for a couple of sessions and then taught my class. I modified some of my demonstrations. Back home, I had my partner assist me in realigning my pelvis. I awaken pain-free!

How do you handle your mishaps? Are you able to learn something from them? Ki to Happiness learns to loosen the bootlaces.

Groundhog’s Day

This is a good day to poke your nose out from under the covers, and think about spring. The groundhog shows us the way that the ancient ones used natural signs to prepare themselves for it’s arrival.

In reconnecting with the old ways I feel the heart connection to those who have gone before. Our days are challenging and so were theirs. We all grow hopeful as we look for indications that the future is on its way.

What kind of future do you envision? How can today help you prepare for it? Ki to Happiness sees an early Spring with opportunities for healing on all levels.

St. Brigid

Welcome to February. This day we celebrate the Goddess Brigid and her sanctified embodiment as St. Brigid. She is the foremost female figure of Irish Catholicism. As a girl raised in that tradition, she and Mother Mary were the highest role models.

Ritual cleansing on this day prepares the way for her benevolence. Sweeping and opening the door to sweep the particles that have been gathered out is a simple ritual she appreciates. As is ritual bathing, dropping your clothes as you drop bad habits. Once all is clean and fresh, invoke her for protection and enough abundance to last the rest of the winter.

What bad habit can you drop today? In its place, what protection and abundance will serve you more? Ki to Happiness celebrates the Goddess in all her guises.
