Junuary’s End

This chilly grey dawn concludes the month of June. With it, the tension of the waxing full moon is now beginning to wane. Issues and conflicts are sorting themselves out even with communication and transportation challenges due to mercury retrograde.

Yoga practice empowers us to stay integrated and guided by our Higher Self in any circumstance. When we practice with others with whom we have differences of opinion or history of conflict, we find common ground. Sharing safe space and conscious breath can bring resolution beyond words.

What empowerment are you in need of? Could safe yoga practice help? Ki to Happiness is empowered by the safety of yoga practice.

Strawberry Moon

Today’s full moon comes at the time when wild strawberries ripen, and offer their sweet fruit. It also occurs as mercury goes retrograde, which likely could affect our communication, transportation, and anything electrical. In our area, dawn has demonstrated retrograde weather with a return to June Gloom.

Together, these energies feel conflictual. January in June, fullness empty of certainty, and challenging to convey, it may be a good day to play it safe. Yoga provides that safe space for us all.

What does this full moon reveal to you? How can you safely follow its guidance? Ki to Happiness practices and teaches Hatha Yoga, with every moon, all astrological shifts in every kind of weather for safe integration of body, mind and spirit.

22 on 62726

We have been in a palindrome streak this last week. Synchronizing with that, we had 22 students in class. It’s a HYC record, post pandemic.

When numbers start talking, I pay attention. I don’t always know what they mean, but I’m willing to learn. Perhaps the waxing full moon, Mercury stationed as it is about to retrograde and Mars conjuncting the Pleiades will reveal the lesson.

Do you pay attention to numbers? What are you still learning? Ki to Happiness pays attention in order to keep learning from the Great Mathematician and Architect of our World.

Calm Center

Bob and I enjoyed our burrito date after the morning class. We went our separate ways afterwards for his golfing and my errands. We came back together at our calm yoga center.

Later in the evening, I shared with him the disruptions that occurred while we were apart. I did so from my calm center. avoiding the drama, conflict, and projections that were hurled at me through my phone as I shipped a package, shopped and walked. Taking nothing personally, he understood my perspective and we continued in our calm center together.

How calm can you remain when others aren’t? What helps you avoid taking things personally? Ki to Happiness chooses the calm of heart centered yoga practice in all circumstances if at all possible.

5%

My mother had her final appointment with her cancer doctor. She is cancer free, with no need for further medical attention, just annual colonoscopies. The result of the lab work indicated that she is one of the 5% of patients who were at Stage 1.

Her relief is mine, too. In triumph, we buy green bananas and plan for a celebration of her upcoming birthday. I reserved my rental car and confirmed all my coverage for HYC classes.

How far into the future do you plan? What is your present guidance? Ki to Happiness listens to Guidance daily and plans accordingly.

Cool Down

It was so hot yesterday one of our fans broke. It had been diligently working for us nonstop through classes when it fell apart. I was just sure it was trash and that we needed to replace it at the end of the day.

Bob took a look at it and said he thought it could be fixed. On the strength of that I started fumbling around with it and before you knew it, I proved him right. The weather has cooled down, and we are ready to cool down some more when the next heat wave comes.

What helps you do things you don’t think you can do? Are you willing to try? Ki to Happiness cools down and tries.

How Good Can It Get?

Viewing a podcast from a quantum physicist, she recommends asking ourselves the above question each morning. In her research, she proves many things that the yogis have stated since their beginning. All is vibration manifesting possibilities.

The question starts the day off with potential for good things to happen. As we vibrate with hope and curiosity, new positive vibrations are drawn to us. Yoga practice aligns body mind spirit with our intention, empowering us toward healing, integrity and peace.

How good can it get? What’s the best that could be? Ki to Happiness looks forward to answers to these questions with peace, hope, joy, health and a generous spirit.

Simple Rituals

After decades of welcoming Summer Solstice from our Bali home, our rituals are simple. Putting away the space heaters and opening windows wide replace the ordeal of international travel. Accepting the changes life requires, peace is available.

Gracefully surrendering the past, the future also shifts. Gentling down into the present is gift enough. Serenity is a choice, readily available with a grateful heart for all that once was as it has contributed to what is and colors what will be.

What rituals in your life require renewal? How grateful are you for what once was? Ki to Happiness colors a bright future with the presence of gratitude for all that has been.

Fine Festivities

We are still cleaning up after the fine festivities of yesterday. I opened the windows wide to let out the lingering smells of so many offerings. Putting away the last of the service items, new joyous memories of our time with family, friends, and our beloved HYC community shift into long term storage.

Yoga classes, feasting, and visiting outside made all three aspects of the Summer solstice, international yoga day and Father’s Day come alive for us. We send that energy onward for a great season. This week begins with high hopes for all.

How were your festivities this weekend? Could you use some of our joy? Ki to Happiness glows in remembrance of all that has occurred.

International Yoga Day

On this summer solstice, we celebrate Father’s Day and international yoga day at HYC. Every day is yoga day here. Today we connect with all others who are practicing yoga around the world.

Bob is the father of a fine young man, and also the father and founder of HYC. In honor of him, I’ve whomped up a feast to offer to our community. Later, father and son will enjoy together time in any way they like.

What will you do with all this light today? How you celebrate the father principal of all? Ki to Happiness wishes you all a day filled with light.
