The sidewalk in front of our building became strewn with loose gravel from the parking strip daily until I covered it with mulch last year. The mulch got kicked around quite a bit, making a tripping hazard until I placed contained plants on the parking strip. I found a few flat stones to mark a path for our students and neighbors to go to the grocery store across the street. 
What I wanted were steppingstones, but I wasn’t sure how I could manage them on my e-bike. On my walk yesterday, I found three of them discarded on the side of our alley. Now they are in place, a gift from the Universe.
