Several efforts yesterday were thwarted by hindrances. Frustration deregulated my nervous systems as old X-rays weren’t available, air filter replacement couldn’t be found, vet didn’t respond for days, schedule changes interfered with plans and tea order got lost. Life is like this sometimes.
Getting my nervous system regulated back to the stable, balanced peacefulness of my morning practice required time outside in my garden and walking, breathing rhythmically and chanting, an additional reclined meditation in corpse position and calming music. The combination worked. In gratitude, I welcomed my students and taught them how to do the same in their own way when they are in need.
Do you know how to care for your nervous system? When life challenges it, how can you best respond? Ki to Happiness uses her tools and shares them with others.
